2- and 3-D Placement Adjustments
Once you've created your tracker, you may find that you want to further fine-tune the corner locations. You can do that in the camera view or in the tracker mini-view.
Note that the following lists are partial, showing only the functionality applicable to fine tuning.
In the camera view, you can
- drag the entire tracker rectangle,
- drag a corner—on 3-D planar trackers the possible locations are limited to those determined by the other 3 corners and any required 3-D Aspect and field of view,
- shift-drag a corner to scale the entire planar tracker uniformly,
- (3-D planars) shift-drag a corner, then release shift while continuing to drag, to scale the tracker independently in width in height,
- rotate the planar tracker, using invisible rotation handles located just outside the corner handles as in Adobe Illustrator, or
- (3-D planars) drag the pyramid's apex handle to re-aim it (ALT/command allows the field of view to change while doing so).
In the tracker mini-view, you can
- drag in the center, to reposition the entire tracker,
- drag in any corner, to reposition that corner, or
- ALT/command-drag any corner, to reposition any corner while freeing up the other three to adjust slightly to maintain the FOV and 3-D aspect.
In the Planar Control panel, you can
- drag the Own FOV value (or click to enter a value), or
- drag the 3-D Aspect value (or click to enter a value).
As you can see, there are quite a few ways to adjust the new planar tracker!
