Where it happens
Planar trackers are created with the Planar Tracking panel, as part of the Planar room on the top room tab bar.
I don't see it! If you don't see the planar tracking room in SynthEyes 1311 or later, the scene or your preferences need to be updated to include the planar room configuration (we don't change your customized configurations). See the section I Don't See the Planar Room
There's also a secondary panel, the Planar Options panel, that appears underneath the main panel on large displays, or you can get the Planar Options panel to pop up as a floating panel by clicking the gear icon under the tracker mini-view.
There's also a very handy Planar Tracking script bar that gives you quick access to various planar-tracking-related tool and export scripts; you can launch it by control- clicking the same gear icon, or clicking the Script/Script bars/Planar Tracking menu item.
For direct consolidated information on the control panels that shows their layout, see the Planar Control Panel section in the 3-D Planar Tracking reference. You may want to print out those few pages for quick reference while you read here.
The planar tracking scripts are also briefly described in the reference.
