Make a Jittery Camera Stand Still

When a camera is stationary, but its position has been determined from a camera solve using From Seed Points mode, it will have some jitter due to the small amount of jitter in the tracking data. If you want the camera to be exactly stationary, you can use the procedure shown in the Incident Analysis Part 1 tutorial in https://www.ssontech.com/tutes/tuteobj.html Synthia is used to compute the average camera position using these commands, executed at the start of the shot:

make camera 1's seed position its average position.

You can do the same thing for the orientation, depending on what you think the camera is doing (camera vibration in fixed cameras is rather common).

make camera 1's seed orientation its average orientation.

Then you can lock the camera position and orientation on the Solver Locking

panel.
