Pin mesh/camera/object/scene

With a mesh selected, the button shows whether the position of the camera, object, mesh, or even the entire solved scene is being calculated. Click the button to sequence through the settings. The mode is store for each mesh, so you need to select the mesh first, before possibly adjusting the mode and then starting to pin.

Generally you'll want the mesh to be repositioned relative to either the default position of the camera, or some camera location that has been manually determined or solved from the regular solver or single-frame alignment system.

However, if you've positioned the mesh properly to start with, for example it is a mesh model of all or part of the set, you can select Pin camera to have pinning move the camera. Note that when pinning the camera, the solved position of the camera is changed, if the camera is solved; or the seed position of the camera is changed, if not. In either case, the position is set on the current frame. You may need to move the position keys to the beginning of the shot using the graph editor, if you have determined the position of a stationary camera midway through the shot, and want to use that position for the entire shot. Or give Synthia something like this:

on frame 0, make camera 1's transform the camera's transform on frame 43
